Nansady is a traditional drummer from the small village of Sangbaralla
in the Hamana region (heart of the Malinke people) of Guinea, West
Africa. He trained from the age of eight with his uncle, Djeme Master
Famoudou Konate in his home village and later in the capital of
Guinea, Conakry. Nansady has toured Europe and Japan with Famoudou's
ensemble 'Hamana Foli Kan', teaches at his workhops in Conakry as well
as performing regularly in Conakry with his own group 'Funkaba'. When
in the UK, Nansady leads performance group 'Manding Kaira' and
performs regularly with them.
Numbers are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first
served basis. To guarantee your place, please pay in advance.
Priority will be given to those who book both days as there is some
continuation from Saturday to Sunday.
