Hi guys. I am creating this thread so that if anybody has any questions, comments or idea for what they would like to see here they can add it here...

Hello James - first post :D

Very useful site....however, if I could respectfully make a couple of suggestions (first, I play drums, have done for 35 years, and I've tinkered a little with the kora, however I can't play djembe at all but would love to learn) -

If you're aiming the site at beginners (like me), you might need a key on each page to let the reader know what the various letters mean (T, S, B).

You'd really need to describe how to play each stroke. I know there's probably no substitute for a "real" teacher, but a description of how to play the strokes, what to expect as far as sound is concerned when a particular stroke is played, how to move from one stroke to another....that sort of thing. would be useful.

Maybe such descriptions are on the site somewhere, but I haven't found them yet.

Thanks for reading!

Hey Stephen. Welcome to the site.

You are dead right....that is the first thing that we should have done, because clear sounds are soooooo important. :)

This site is definitely for everybody. Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback.

I will start on a text description immediately and get on to Mr Media (Jake) to get a video together and have that up asap. :)
